On March 13, 2022 our union participated in a public meeting in Turin organized by the collective Rider In Lotta Torino with theme:
“Un confronto sui cambiamenti, le lotte e le pratiche nel food delivery per resistere a nuove forme di sfruttamento” – “A dialogue on changes, struggles and practices in food delivery to resist to new forms of exploitation”
The event was also attended by fellow riders from Bologna and Genova, members of the Lieferando Workers Collective and the Gorillaz Workers Collective from Berlin, a representative of the FAU Foreigners section, and Italian labor experts.
On March 12, we also participated in the cycling demo organized by our colleagues in Turin as a response to the recent fatal work accidents in the city of Genoa where two colleagues lost their lives. The bicycle march moved in the main streets of the city, we hung banners and with loud pulse we shouted slogans against the exploitation by the platform companies.
It was our honor to be given the opportunity to meet with colleagues from abroad, to learn about the working regime there, to exchange experiences of struggle, to discuss our common problems, to plan together our mobilizations for the international call of May 1st, 2022, and to define our common demands.
